About this cause
Ahmed was diagnosed with thalassemia major at age two. He requires a blood transfusion every three weeks and daily chelation injections to prevent iron overload. The monthly cost of treatment at Children's Hospital Lahore is approximately PKR 18,000, which his parents — a daily wage labourer and a homemaker — cannot sustain. This campaign covers 18 months of treatment (PKR 324,000) while the family is assessed for a bone marrow transplant, which would cure him permanently. Ahmed loves cricket and wants to be a fast bowler when he grows up.
